Friday’s Peculiarities

So, two things:

1. During one of my classes on Friday, one of my students says something about pulling an all-nighter to study for an exam. Another one of my students says, nodding, “What you need for all-nighters,” and here he pulls out a full jar of peanut butter (!), “is peanut butter. Lots of it.”

2. Jesse and I are lying in bed that night, talking about the supernatural (don’t ask) when we hear a loud crashing noise. My first immediate thought is, the cats are destroying the house. Then I remember the cats are sleeping in the laundry room. Then something big is on our bed. It’s our ceiling fan. I had always imagined that having a ceiling fan fall on you would be more dangerous and painful. But, surprisingly, it wasn’t. It’s not an experience I’d like to repeat, but I mean, our legs are still attached.
