The guests: Mom, Dad, Jesse, Tom (dad-in-law), Vicki (mom-in-law), Becki (sis-in-law).
The menu: Turkey (free-range, organic, no-hormones-added), roasted Brussels sprouts, quinoa mac and cheese with shallots, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and giblet gravy, whole wheat rolls from our favorite bakery, stuffing, Italian sodas.
The extras: the turkey finishing an hour earlier than I thought it would (and the mad rush to finish all the sides before the turkey became too dry), no one cutting himself while carving the turkey this year, a walk after dinner, playing Nertz and Skip Bo (card games), watching Kung Fu Panda.
In a word, fantastic.
