Here goes nothing…

My bags are packed. My iPod is almost packed. I’ve bought everything I can think to buy. I’ve copied everything I can think to copy.

I leave for Raleigh tomorrow, then we fly out Monday morning at 6:00 a.m. I don’t even want to think how long the flights are (I began to total up the hours today and had to stop).

We may have occasional Internet access. If I do get online I will post updates here, so check back.

Until then…

Michael Crichton, From Travels: “Often I go to some distant region of the world to be reminded of who I really am. There is no mystery about why this should be so. Stripped of your ordinary surroundings, your friends, your daily routines, your refrigerator full of your food, your closet full of your clothes–with all this taken away, you are forced into direct experience. Such direct experience inevitably makes you aware of who it is that is having the experience. That’s not always comfortable, but it is always invigorating.”

    Hey Girl,

Can’t wait to hear how your flights went and how everything else is going. I wasn’t sure if you would be checking your email so thought I would leave a note here. I’m praying for you and hope all goes well. Keep us updated as often as you can.

    Love ya!

What an excellent quote. I can always count on you for a good quote.
