Quinn--I'm nowhere near as naturally funny as you are, but I will keep my eyes open for more outtakes... Sabrina, I'm sure your sense of humor is just more refined than most people's. I don't understand my own sense of humor. Certain brands of humor (physical humor especially) won't make me crack a smile, but the most random things will leave me in tears. (My favorite ever are when newscasters say terribly embarrassing things while on air.)

::grin:: These are examples of why, although I don't consider myself a fan of "comedy," I enjoyed Seinfeld. I almost never laugh at jokes, and I'm very well acquainted with a great number of people who are convinced I have no sense of humor (including my own dad). But it's always the everyday oddities that just crack me up.

I like this concept of "outtakes" and I want more! As I was reading the last one I was sad to be done. Everyday is full of odd little moments that we notice and forget because we tend to build up an immunity to awkwardness (in my, ahem, awkward opinion). You've inspired me to keep track of these moments today - this comment is #1.

I figured you'd understand, Dave! I really do love the band. You guys rock (quite literally), and I think it's a testament to the musical talent of the band and everyone involved that I continually find myself enjoying it, even though I'm not crazy about singing...

No need to be ashamed about not liking to sing. Everyone is different in personality and things affect us differently. It is still important that we sing truth together as corporate confession and affirmation (in my humble opinion), but it doesn't have to move us the same way. We are called to worship "in Spirit and in truth", not just one or the other.

Sincerely,
A Band Member
