Today is a good day. Because: I’m wearing shorts and drove to Harris Teeter with the windows down and the radio up. And I bought fresh veggies and lamb because Brandon and Kara are coming over for dinner. And I re-found Sabrina’s blog today. And Jesse and I ate outside, sandwiches with homemade guacamole, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sprouts, and we wore sunglasses and took in the sun and debated theology and after that I thought of the yard work that needs to be done but will not get done just yet, and I imagined summer, the smell of sweat and dirt, the way grass clippings and weeds stick to my legs, and the feeling of washing them off.

About

I'm a twentysomething MFA grad enjoying life in a state of flux, dreaming of Paris and San Francisco while loving the warm summer evenings in North Carolina. I'm a little irreverent, a little mercurial, with an uncanny knack for putting my foot in my mouth.

It was an awesome day, and an awesome meal at that. I bought lamb today at Harris Teeter because I was so inspired. Do you care to share your recipe for the balsamic reduction you made?
Thanks again!
Yay lamb! Here you go: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Lamb-Chops-with-Balsamic-Reduction/Detail.aspx
I’ve made this twice, the first time to the recipe specifications. The second time, last night, I took a reviewer’s suggestion and swapped the herbs listed for herbes de provence, which I thought gave it a richer, better taste.
