When Warren was over for dinner Friday, the three of us had a deep, important discussion about mustaches. We came to the decision that there are two people who can really pull off a mustache: Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck (but especially Tom Selleck). I present the evidence:

I think I’ve spent most of my life believing they were the same person, but, it turns out, they are not.
(My Uncle Tim can also rock a mustache. Just wanted to throw that out there.)
While pondering the facial hair of the stars, I was reminded of Brad Pitt, and I did a little experiment.
I give you Brad Pitt, with Tom Selleck’s ‘stache:

Proof that even though Brad will never be a Tom or a Burt, a mustache would still be better than that beard.
Oh, and by the way, here is a website that combines Tom Selleck, waterfalls, and sandwiches. Miriam found this and posted it to her blog. Here’s an example, just to get you started:
Jesse didn’t get it, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why.
And here’s a short film about mustaches a friend of ours made for a local film competition. It won. (You have to stick around for the end credits, which Jesse made.)

Well, Pitt did have a mustache in “Inglorious Basterds”–picture here.
I considered including that picture, but came to the conclusion that it did not qualify as a real mustache.
this was an awesome post.
